Battery powered for maximum portability

Battery power is a wonderful thing to have in a PA, but battery power you don’t have to worry running out on you is even better. That’s one of the things that impressed us the most here at Musiekwereld, when we were first checking out Samson’s Expedition XP106w portable PA system. For as powerful as it is (100 watts is nothing to scoff at), the battery in the XP106w can last up to 20 hours, making it more than a match for your typical performance or party.

Stage XPD1 USB digital wireless system included

The Expedition XP106w takes the freedom of battery-powered operation and ups the ante by including Samson’s Stage XPD1 USB digital wireless microphone system. This wireless handheld microphone sounds great and is a synch to set up – just plug the USB receiver into the back of the XP106w and you’re good to go. Thanks to its tight cardioid polar pattern, this mic blocks out all kinds of background noise, and as long as you don’t point it at the speaker, you probably won’t have any feedback issues either.

4-channel mixer comes Bluetooth ready

In addition to the XPD1 wireless microphone system, there are plenty of wired input options onboard the Expedition XP106w, thanks to its 4-channel mixer. Channel 1 lets you plug in a wired microphone and Channel 2 includes both an 1/8″ stereo input and a 1/4″ in for your guitar or keyboard. The Expedition XP106w’s Bluetooth connection has a dedicated volume control of its own, and it makes streaming music from your phone, iPad, or other device super easy. On top of that, you can daisy chain multiple Expedition PA systems together, thanks to the 1/4″ line output.
